Location:

This Role is site-based at KSM Mine, Hwy 37, BC. Camp accommodations and transportation to the site are provided by Seabridge Gold from Terrace, BC. This position operates on a 14x14 day rotational schedule.

Position Overview:

This role supports the overall success of the Project Services team by managing the end-to-end lifecycle of contractor Labour, Equipment, and Material (LEM) tracking systems and accounts receivable processes.  The successful candidate will configure tracking systems, perform commercial reviews of charges, and ensure accurate financial reporting through month-end progress certificates and cost accruals.

Key Responsibilities:

This role is part of the Project Services team, reporting directly to the Senior Project Controller and as required, to the Project Services Manager.

This role will manage, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Maintain, support, and enhance custom controls and tracking systems to meet project requirements.
  • Configure Seabridge Gold contractor LEM system to align with contract pay items and facilitate the daily processing and approval workflow of contractor submitted LEMs.
  • Manage the LEM submission queue and communicate with suppliers and the site team.
  • Perform commercial review of LEM charges and expenses prior to scope owner approvals.
  • Prepare month-end progress certificates based on approved LEMs and issue to contractors.
  • Collaborate with contract administrators to capture and update changes to contract pay items and attend monthly contract meetings.
  • Manage accounts receivable submissions by receiving and loading supplier invoices into the database for tracking and reporting.
  • Generate weekly invoice status reports and statistical reporting packages.
  • Support the Commercial Team with invoice workflows and supplier payment status tracking.
  • Review supplier accounts receivable statements to ensure the Seabridge database is accurate and aligned.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records to facilitate rapid analysis and effective decision making.
  • Prepare monthly cost accruals using the invoice database and LEM system.

Education, Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of project cost control, contract management and commercial terms and conditions knowledge, teamwork and collaboration, supported by the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Science or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mining or heavy civil construction project cost control activities
  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI is asset.
  • Basic Understanding of ERPs systems and Database Data Management is an asset.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting principles and tax rules is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, including empathy, emotional intelligence, and cross-cultural effectiveness; able to achieve consensus and foster alignment collaboratively.
  • High standards of professional and ethical conduct, with a commitment to maintaining a positive safety and quality culture.
  • Well-developed organizational and project management competencies to keep multiple projects, processes, and engineering/construction teams on track.
