As Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM), the incumbent will be responsible for the overall management and success of project quality, scheduling, and financial requirements. Sr. PMs lead and manage large projects, problematic projects, technically challenging projects, or multiple projects at a time. Sr. PMs collaborate with Project Executives in order to enforce project standards as described by the contract documents. Sr. PMs are also responsible for providing service to the team at a level where mistakes pose a substantial risk to Truebeck.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Set and communicate direction to the team by identifying resources needed and assigning individuals responsibilities.
- Under the supervision of Project Executive, Principal in Charge, or Vice President of Operations, manage day-to-day operations of project and its scope.
- Proactively manage client expectations and report to owners and architects about progress.
- Understand controlling activates for the entire project and effectively communicate the overall project plan to the entire team.
- Select and coordinate the work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project.
- Ensure proper financial management processes are followed including creating monthly financial
forecasts, project’s profitability and revenue margins, subcontractor payments, and a timely project closeout.
- Minimize exposure and risk in the project and identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
- Review all deliverables prepared by team before client submission.
- Develop cost-effective plans and schedules for completion of projects that follow a logical pattern and utilize resources.
- Responsible for proper administration of subcontracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
- Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedules and project profitability forecasts
- Monitor the progress of construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings.
- Ensure that client pay applications are accurate, submitted on time, and that payments are received.
- Any other task or duty as assigned or required.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Encourage and foster a problem-solving environment and collaboration across the team.
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members and contribute to the development of Truebeck’s internal training curriculum.
- Provide regular and effective communication to client through regular meetings.
- Identify opportunities for additional business with client.
- Engage with business development professionals to win new business.
- Support business development activities and drive process improvements.
- Develop and expand key industry relationships by participating in industry events and groups.
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduate of a four-year degree program in construction management, construction science or civil engineering.
- Eight or more years of experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity.
- Able to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people to achieve
maximum efficiency.
- Able to develop accurate project estimates and pricing reports.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
- Has a broad range of construction management and/or construction engineering skills.
- Able to apply principles and procedures of building construction, project management, or construction management to the completion of complex projects.
- Able to work with minimal supervision on assignments that are broad and frequently require original and innovative approaches.
- Act as a leader in regards to internal and external quality efforts.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The incumbent typically works in a construction environment where duties will be performed indoors and outdoors. While performing the duties of this Job, the incumbent is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and risk of vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud. Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other business machines; reach and bend with arms and hands; use eyes to see close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and to adjust focus; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Range of base pay is $180,000 - $235,000.
