Pay Range: $46-$58 per hour (DOE), FLSA non-exempt (OT eligible)

Here’s a deeper dive into your responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination & Execution
    • Learn, follow, and promote company safety and quality protocols.
    • Assist in the preparation of pipe and plumbing fabrication shop schedules.
    • Assist with estimating takeoffs and with the purchase of materials and equipment.
    • Assist with pipe and plumbing fabrication budget development.
    • Maintain current and accurate quantity tracking data.
    • Cost Control reporting and forecasting.
    • Take off quantities for productivity tracking when so directed.
    • Interface and coordinate with internal clients and operational support teams on constructability and schedule.
    • Work as an interface between the CAD/BIM team and the fabrication shops.
    • Work with construction and design professionals in the main office, fabrication shops, and project sites.
    • Plan and coordinate work appropriately to drive the fabrication shop productivity while facilitating field teams.
    • Review construction procedures and provide technical support for work.
    • Ensure that construction work completed in-house and by sub-contractors complies with the contract.
    • Be directly involved with construction procedures.
  • Relationship & Communication Management
    • Represent JH Kelly at both internal and external client meetings.
    • Keep management informed of project status and scheduling.
    • Maintain proactive and positive relationships with fabrication shop management and craft supervision.
    • Maintain proactive and positive relationships with customer representatives, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, safety, CAD/BIM, accounting, IT, and all project teams.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
 
What You Bring
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Construction, Mechanical Construction, or related field. Preferred: Piping and Mechanical construction experience. Familiarity with Mechanical operations and/or other applicable mechanical construction experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Construction Management, or Manufacturing preferred.
  • Skills: · Strong oral and written communication skills. · Proficient in reading P&IDs and Piping Isometrics. · Fully proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam, with intermediate skills in Excel. Introductory skills with Stratus are a bonus. · Scheduling experience and/or education. · Familiarity with Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling, using MS Project or comparable applications. · A solid working knowledge of Project Management or Manufacturing, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and Safety.

Physical Requirements
This role requires transitioning frequently between an office and a fabrication shop setting. In the office, the individual must be able to sit for extended periods while working at a computer, performing repetitive tasks such as typing and using a mouse, and communicating by telephone. In the field, the individual must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods on various surfaces, including uneven terrain, and climbing stairs as required. The role also necessitates the ability to kneel, crouch, and crawl to view/inspect tight spaces, as well as occasionally lifting 40 pounds. Good vision and hearing are essential for reading plans, inspecting work, and communicating.
