Morgan Corp. is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist.

The Human Resources Generalist performs a variety of Human Resources functions, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and HR life cycle administration. This position will be in the Duncan office with frequent travel to local job sites, as well as occasional overnight travel to job locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs tasks required to execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
  • Performs tasks related to the employee life cycle, including onboarding and orientation, employment and benefit changes, and terminations. Collaborates closely with payroll, professional development, and the recruiting manager.
  • Ownership of local recruiting. With the support of the recruiting manager, responsible for the sourcing, screening, and hiring of craft, field supervision, and office staff.
  • Use creative approaches and long-term strategies to solve local labor needs, including attending career fairs, developing recruiting partnerships, building a local pipeline, etc.
  • Accountable for recruiting metrics.
  • Assists in developing procedures and policies with a bias towards continuous improvement and creative thinking. Developing, implementing, and leading special projects and initiatives.
  • Frequent travel to job sites throughout the designated division to communicate HR initiatives and build relationships with field teams.
  • Assists with benefit administration, including tracking, enrollment, and reporting.
  • Deliver training and communications on HR topics.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.
  • Maintain knowledge of compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Participates in HR audits throughout the year to ensure best practices and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • 4 or more years of Human Resources or Recruiting experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or a related field
  • HR Certification preferred but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Detail-oriented and critical thinking skills with a bias towards continuous improvement
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be willing to travel locally regularly. Occasional overnight travel.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, grasp, reach with hands and arms, see, speak, and hear. Frequently stand and walk. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Some work is performed in an office environment, while other work may be performed at construction job sites.
