The team at Coastline is looking to hire a Used Equipment Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis & Valuation: Monitor and maintain market data on used equipment values and trends, and assign trade values that support new equipment sales while ensuring profitable resale of used units.
  • Used Inventory Dispersal & Channel Development: Develop and manage all available channels for used inventory dispersal, including John Deere Remarketing, wholesale markets, online outlets, auctions, and inter‑dealer trades.
  • Performance Metrics & Communication: Own, track, and communicate key used‑equipment metrics—aged inventory levels, turnover rates, and margin performance—to the sales team.
  • Marketing & Sales Process Development: Develop and execute the organization’s used equipment marketing strategy, including creating a consistent used sales process and reconditioning policy.
  • Programs & Policy Management: Create and maintain all used equipment sales and finance programs, ensuring consistency and alignment across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of heavy equipment sales experience and 5–10 years of UEM experience.
  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with John Deere equipment and competitive product lines.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective in both one‑on‑one and group settings.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office and internet-based tools.
  • Analytical Ability: Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports to support decision‑making.

Work Environment:

  • Office-Based:Must be able to report within our geographic region and work in-office out of our Long Beach, CA, Meridian, ID, or North Las Vegas, NV branch.
  • Physical Requirements: Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. May occasionally require standing or moving between office areas.
