Co-Op position is expected to run from Jan-Aug, or May-Dec, but flexibility in timing is possible.
The person in this position completes project specific tasks while working in the engineering department and test lab while utilizing SolidWorks, Excel, and Word.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Completes design, drawing, and analysis work in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
- Carries out testing of product including writing the test request, analyzing the results, and documenting findings.
- Writing technical instruction manuals
- Proposes and implements design, material, and process changes to existing products to reduce overall product costs. Works with product development teams to help execute successful product launches.
- Coordinates with Product Managers, Purchasing and Manufacturing to identify cost and performance improvement opportunities.
- Create and Process Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s) through the SolidWorks, Jira and SAP approval and sign off procedure.
- Supports and upholds the Quality and EHS policy.
- Upholds the Core Values.
- Any other duties that may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Actively pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering. Other fields in engineering may be considered.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to analyze data and derive conclusion(s).
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to solve algebraic equations and work with mathematical concepts of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to write concise, technical instruction manuals
- Possess strong interpersonal communication skills.
