Internship Overview

Casella Construction is offering a Summer Internship in Systems Analyst and Support—an opportunity to join us in the Spring/Summer of 2026 for our Paid Internship. This internship will focus on honing your practical skills and field experience in Logistic Optimization within the Transportation Operations Team.

Our internship program aligns with your school’s curriculum. Learn firsthand what it takes to start and finish a project and enhance your knowledge of what you learned in the classroom. You'll get hands-on experience learning management functions, construction skills, and tasks such as:

  • Analyzing Samsara and Maintain Software for Current Use
  • Comprehensive reviews of Current Processes and Data In/Output
  • Develop Centralized Digital Platform tailored to the Division’s Needs to Streamline Progress Updates and Communication between Safety, Dispatch and Maintenance
  • Develop SOP and Training Guides to implement new procedures to the Team for Proper Use and Data Continuity

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a comprehensive audit of current telematics and maintenance software for effectiveness and communication
  • Complete ride along(s) with driver(s) to understand the driver’s view of the software, operations, and safety
  • Identify underutilized Features or gaps in the systems that can better processes ie routing functions, fuel consumption and efficiency, documents section for permitting and vehicle compliance
  • Initiate new processes to adapt to better utilization of the systems
  • Assist in the Development of Training Guides to help Team feel comfortable utilizing platforms for more efficient data reporting and communication
  • Assist in developing a centralized platform to improve communications between Safety, Dispatch and Maintenance by synchronizing data, automating reports for schedules and progress, and reporting on KPI’s

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program Logistics, Operational Management, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related fields
  • Educational Background – studying transportation management, logistics, engineering or a related field
  • Analytical Skills – comfortable analyzing data, spotting trends, and making data driven decisions
  • Technical Proficiency- Familiarity with fleet management software
  • Teamwork and Adaptability – collaborate well with different departments and adapt to changing needs

Compensation and Benefits:

Our Spring / Summer 2026 Internships are 8-12 weeks, 40 hours or more per week and generally start in the May / June timeframe (start and end dates are flexible based on your availability).

Hourly Hiring Range: $24.00/hr.

This range reflects the base pay we reasonably expect to offer for this position at the time of posting, considering current market conditions and industry benchmarks.

Final and individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
