SUMMARY

The Master Data & Costing Industrial Engineer supports Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance at the Conductix-Wampfler U.S. Center of Excellence (CoE). This role is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing master data to ensure accurate product costing, efficient production flow, and reliable planning within our ERP system (SAP). As part of our dynamic Supply Chain team this role reports to the Supply Chain Manager of the U.S. CoE.

An individual in this role can be based in either our Omaha, NE or Harlan, IA facility. They will work extensively in SAP, Jira, and Excel, and interfaces with engineering drawings and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include defining manufacturing routings, production times, lot sizes, manufacturing BOMs, and product costs, as well as processing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and supporting sales activities via our Supply Chain Request (SCR) system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Create, maintain, and revise manufacturing master data in SAP, including manufacturing BOMs, routings, work centers, and costing views.
  • Develop and maintain accurate routing times, setup times, labor standards, and routing instructions.
  • Provide our sales team with accurate and timely responses to cost and lead time request.
  • Define and validate in-house production times to support capacity planning and scheduling.
  • Define, validate, and work to minimize setup times and change over times in various work centers.
  • Establish and maintain economical, minimum, maximum, and costing lot sizes.
  • Support make/buy decision analysis and define master data to execute appropriate make/buy decision for production.
  • Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) related to master data and routings.
  • Review engineering drawings to ensure manufacturability and correct material definition.
  • Develop and maintain accurate product costing and rolling cost updates.
  • Process Supply Chain Requests (SCRs) related to master data and costing.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to improve production flow efficiency.
  • Support and uphold quality, safety, and EHS policies.
  • Uphold the Conductix-Wampfler Core Values.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP systems including BOMs, routings, and costing.
  • Experience using Jira or similar workflow tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office products.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Curiosity to learn what’s needed and effectively solve problems for the organization.
