We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to support our Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) efforts across a variety of projects. In this role, you will collaborate with project teams, designers, and trade partners to coordinate multi-trade models, perform clash detection, and support the coordination of architectural, structural, and MEP models throughout design and construction.

The ideal candidate can work effectively under the direction of a manager while also having the discipline to work independently and contribute as part of a team toward a common goal. Experience in VDC/BIM coordination, the ability to follow established workflows, and the confidence to think on your feet to solve challenges using technology and processes are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Model Coordination: Participate in and help lead multi-trade coordination efforts at the direction of the VDC Manager, supporting coordination meetings and tracking model issues to ensure the process is thorough and accurate.

Clash Detection & Issue Management: Aggregate models from trade partners, run clash detection, identify coordination issues, and assign them to the appropriate parties while tracking them to resolution.

VDC & BIM Support: Contribute to BIM execution planning, model logistics, and data management in alignment with company VDC standards and workflows.

Model Validation: Ensure the architectural, structural, and MEP models are modeled at the appropriate Levels of Development (LOD) through the design and construction phases per the Owner and/or 3CI BIM Execution Plan (BEP).

MEP & Trade Integration: Coordinate building systems with trade partners to identify and resolve conflicts, remove design issues, and support constructability reviews.

Reality Capture & As-Built Validation: Support reality capture efforts by comparing scans to models, identifying as-built deviations, and validating model accuracy against field conditions.

Technology & Platform Support: Provide model-based support for documentation, coordination, and field use while assisting teams with digital construction platform workflows.

Quality & Accuracy: Perform model checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with construction documents, project standards and Owner requirements.

Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with project teams, designers, and trade partners to promote alignment, efficiency, and best practices in digital project delivery.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) / Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk ACC.
  • Experience supporting multi-trade model coordination on large, complex construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Ability to review models, identify coordination issues, and collaborate with project teams and trade partners to track and resolve them.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with teams across multiple locations.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and handle challenging situations professionally.

Preferred:

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5–7 years of experience in VDC/BIM within the construction industry.
  • Experience leading multi-trade coordination efforts on large, complex projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide coordination meetings, manage issue resolution workflows, and support successful digital project delivery.
