The Operations Manager manages projects under the direction of the Business Unit Director, while adhering to HK Solutions Groups values, WORK HARD, WORK SMART, WORK SAFE.
- Support the Director in all aspects of the business and fill in when they are absent.
- Accurately and timely complete required administrative tasks: expenses, project closeout, payroll, work orders.
- Review project specs, plans and jobsites to accurately prepare bids.
- Coordinate and oversee the entire process of the project(s), including plan review, releases, scheduling and project management.
- Manage projects to successfully accomplish task for safety and quality.
- Follow site-specific requirements and set up the job for success.
- Provide verbal and written expectations to the shop and field crews.
- Assist with fabrication and site work, as needed.
- Review and approve payroll hours and PTO for assigned team members.
- Provide support with maintaining equipment, repairs and inventory.
- Be respectful and professional to teammates, customers and the general public.
- Stop work when perceived unsafe condition or behavior may result in an incident.
- Perform safety audits and ensure proper PPE is available and used at the jobsite.
- Maintain insurability as established by HK insurance carrier.
Computer software proficiency, strong written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.
Travel Requirements: Up to 50%
Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds, kneel, stand and sit for extended periods of time and work in hot/cold environments, noise, at height and confined spaces.
