About the Role

We’re hiring an Accounting Intern to support our Credit and Collections team through hands‑on work in customer accounts, payments, documentation, and financial recordkeeping. You’ll gain practical experience in accounting functions while working closely with both the accounting and sales teams.

This part‑time, summer internship is approximately 30 hours per week, offering meaningful experience with flexibility.


What You’ll Do

  • Process credit card payments and manage routine customer payment setups
  • Research and resolve basic accounting issues by providing invoices, statements, credits, or supporting documents
  • Communicate with customers regarding account questions and documentation needs
  • Assist customers with credit applications, verify references, and prepare information for approval
  • Maintain customer account records and documentation in the ERP system
  • Work with sales and accounting teams to support smooth operations
  • Maintain and organize tax documents, W‑9s, Certificates of Insurance, and similar records
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as needed
  • Maintain regular in‑person attendance

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
  • Ability to lift and move office materials (10–20 pounds) as needed
  • Ability to work in a typical office environment

What You Bring

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is helpful
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Comfort speaking with customers when needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
