Position Title: Senior Center Assistant (Part time mornings. Mon- Fri 8am to 12pm. Occasional nights and weekends for special events)

Reports to: Manager, Heritage Commons Senior Enrichment Center
Position Summary:
Assists members and volunteers, coordinates the front desk, and provides clerical support as directed by the Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
- Serves as Center receptionist during designated hours, answers phone and responds to questions from members, visitors, and people calling the Center during hours of operation.
- Helps orient new members, guests, and other visitors to HCSEC programs and facility, as well as CareWell Services programs and services.
- Assists members with MySeniorCenter (MSC) so that they are comfortable using the system, trouble shoot and correct scan errors when applicable.
- Assist Manager with program planning and coordination as directed.
- Assists with general clerical duties as assigned.
- Gathers Congregate Meal orders and conveys to vendor.
- Assists with set up, clean up, restocks coffee station.
- Maintains cleanliness of common areas.
- Assists in payments received. Reconciles receipts and daily cash and gives banking bag and daily transaction log to Manager at end of each day or shift.
- Ensures fans, stereo and all Fitness Center equipment is turned off, sanitized, and dusted at end of each day. Adheres to opening and closing policies and procedures.

- Perform all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE:
Collaborating with diverse communities in a human service organization preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Personality and demeanor to interact with the public and assist participants.
- Flexible and adaptable in various situations and when interacting with many different personalities.
- Basic office skills such as typing and filing, answering phones.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate general office equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
