The Account Supervisor, Account Service, will contribute to the success of one or more accounts, with the core responsibility for workflow and financial management on assigned accounts. In partnership with the Account Director/VP, Account Service, the Account Supervisor will lead internal teams to deliver work that is on strategy, on time, and on budget.

The following is a summary of the specific areas of responsibility and the expected skillset of an Account Supervisor team member.

Account Supervisor, Account Service Primary Responsibilities

Overall Client Leadership

  • Develops relationships with clients and internal staff members as the lead point of contact for client workflow.
  • Serves as primary client liaison on project management-related work. Written communication clearly and effectively articulates project goals, objectives, and updates in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of the client’s overall business operations, brand vision, and strategy for assigned accounts. Meets with client leadership counterparts on an ongoing basis to stay informed of updates/pivots to strategy and adjust production/project management responsibilities and deliverables accordingly.
  • Delivers excellence on behalf of BVK and our clients. As such, it is seen as a leader on the account from both an internal and client perspective when it comes to executing and delivering on SOWs.
  • Proactively identifies areas for account improvement/growth and pivots account processes accordingly.

Business Development

  • In partnership with the Account Director, VP, and SVP, leads organic growth efforts of assigned accounts.
  • Contribute to new business-related activities such as RFPs or pitches. Serve as the go-to for scoping potential client engagements.

Fiscal

  • Responsible for the financial management of assigned accounts. Oversees SOW development and coaches junior team members on estimating and invoicing.
  • In partnership with AAE/AE/SAE, manages the performance against SOWs and estimates to ensure the financial health of assigned accounts. Leads quarterly reconciliation process and monthly forecasting efforts.
  • Leads billing resolution issues with clients.
  • Seeks insights from past projects to optimize future work related to account efficiency and profitability.

Project Management

  • Oversees client project initiatives from start to finish. Gains necessary internal/client approvals and keeps client and Account Director, VP & SVP informed of pertinent updates.
  • Owns project management timelines and internal communications. Oversees day-to-day process on assigned accounts by identifying, communicating, and confirming deliverables of all team members and clarifying team roles and responsibilities, as required.
  • Leads client status update meetings.

Training/Supervision/Agency Performance

  • Mentors AAEs/AEs/SAEs on project management using BVK Account Service best practices. Includes status updates, written client/internal comms, timeline development and invoicing recommendations.
  • Direct management of junior team members on client-centric teams.
  • Contributes to internal team members’ performance reviews upon request.

Required Skills/Experience /Competencies

  • 5-10 years of agency or comparable business/client-side experience.
  • Proven success as Project Manager. Has experience:
  • Balancing multiple initiatives, clients, deadlines, and teams.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to produce work that’s on time, on budget, and in line with the strategy.
  • Utilizing data to drive strategy/project next steps.
  • Demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills both internally and with clients.

  • Has an innate sense of curiosity and willingness to learn multiple clients’ businesses and the competitive set.
  • Has previously managed client budget tracking and invoicing on multiple accounts.
  • Has the ability to pivot/course correct without becoming overwhelmed.
  • Demonstrates exemplary organizational skills, time management & attention to detail.
  • Projects confidence in front of clients and large internal teams.
  • Has a desire to contribute to ongoing departmental trainings/Account Service tool development.
  • Consistently seeks ways to proactively improve agency systems & processes.
