RedStone Construction Group is currently accepting applications for a Hot Oil Tanker Driver wanting to advance their construction career.

THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION.

Summary/Objective 

Drives a class “A” CDL truck/trailer tanker combination transporting hot oil between facilities in Arkansas and Tennessee.

Essential Functions

  1. Transports hot asphalt cement (AC) in support of asphalt plant mix requirements
  2. Maintains a Class “A” commercial drivers license with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements
  3. Maintains a current CDL medical certification
  4. Knowledge of AC hot oil load, offload, and transport hazards
  5. Demonstrate the ability to load, off-load, and transport hot oil AC
  6. Conduct daily preventative maintenance checks on truck and trailer units
  7. Knowledge and ability to navigate the areas of Arkansas and Tennessee to complete delivery requirements
  8. Conduct electronic log device (ELD) entries tracking hours of service requirements
  9. Communicate with dispatch via truck computer email system
  10. Knowledge of quad-axle dump truck operations to supplement hours during low production periods

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. 

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing throughout day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  1. This is a full-time hourly position, normally working Monday through Saturday.
  2. The start and end of the workday will vary based on the daily requirements and will include a required 30-minute lunch/break period.
  3. The position may require extended work hours at times within the legal limits.

Travel

  1. There may be occasions where the member is be required to stay overnight in an out-of-town hotel.
  2. Hotel rooms are furnished by Redstone Construction.
  3. Employees receive $50 perdiem pay for each night’s stay in an out-of-town hotel.

 

Required Education and Experience

High school education is preferred. A minimum of two years hot oil transport experience is preferred.
