The Sales Operations Specialist position requires full-time, in-office attendance, five days a week, at our Omaha, NE location.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

 Outside Sales Escalation Point: The candidate shall serve as an escalation point for sales-related issues, both customer-facing and internal, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution while delivering exceptional support to both our customers and our outside sales team.

 Management of Sales Leads and Lead system: The candidate will be responsible for the complete management of all SMO US sales leads in coordination with the SMO US Marketing team. This includes coordinating lead entry and v, verifying all qualified leads and providing precise details to the outside sales team on all actionable opportunities. The candidate will monitor leads through the system, generate reports to assess lead success and conversion rates, and regularly review the process to identify areas for improvement, aiming to boost overall lead efficiency and success.

 Management of SMO US Customer Data: The candidate will take on increasing responsibility for ensuring that all newly created accounts are accurate and complete. This includes validating market assignment, discount level, primary contacts, and territory placement. The role centers on maintaining high-quality data by converting prospects into customers, correcting inaccurate information, and identifying and filling in missing details to keep our customer records reliable and up to date.

 After Sales Service Coordination: The candidate will work directly with the outside sales force, service team, and customers to coordinate material and service delivery. The candidate will be responsible for managing customer expectations and confirming all final details, including any pre-qualification requirements, to ensure a smooth customer experience.

 Customer Retention: The candidate will monitor customer activity and provide early-warning notifications when accounts slow down, stop placing recurring orders, or show signs of disengagement.

 Quality and EHS Compliance: Support and uphold the Quality and EHS policies of the organization.

 Communication Skills:

 The ideal candidate will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, which are critical for daily interactions with Inside Sales, Outside Sales, other departments, and customers. The role requires troubleshooting, effectively communicating, and resolving issues in collaboration with other parties.

 Microsoft Outlook: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook is essential, as it is the primary communication tool with both internal and external customers. The candidate must be capable of composing emails independently without reliance on pre-written scripts.

 Microsoft Teams: The candidate should be comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily communications, including chat functionality, video calls, and screen sharing.

 Tools/Software Proficiency:

 Business Analytics: While prior experience with Power BI, and Business Analyzer is not mandatory, it is advantageous. These tools will be used to generate and provide sales metrics, allowing for the analysis of trends and data.

Microsoft Excel: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential as it is the primary tool used for data aggregation and analysis. The candidate should be able to generate graphs, clean and consolidate data, and effectively use formulas and lookup functions.

CRM: This role requires proficient use of our internal CRM for data entry and customer management. Key tasks include creating/updating prospect accounts, entering leads, documenting customer information, and tracking service orders.

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • At least three years of experience in a sales position or a similar customer-facing role.

 MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Ability to draw and interpret graphs on Excel and similar software packages.
