Job Responsibilities: As a Project Engineer, you'll work closely with the sales team, project managers and leadership to keep projects moving forward-on time, on budget, and done right. The Project Engineer should be a motivated self-starter possessing time management, scheduling, sales, and leadership skills and experience.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Prepare, review, and assemble critical project documentation
- Strong interdepartmental communication and professionalism
- Help manage project workflow, timelines, and deliverables
- Maintain an orderly departmental environment, including making sure team members are maintaining departmental records and file systems in accordance with the divisional directives.
- Establish and nurture relationships with clients.
- Coordinate with project manager and design teams to secure permit approvals and keep projects compliant.
- Work on projects start to finish and be involved in customer follow up.
- Ensure all work scheduled is serviced, invoiced, and reported if needed.
- Make sure the customer is satisfied with the work completed.
- Constructively handle (or relay to your supervisor for the handling of) all customer complaints related to projects.
- Constantly strive toward continuing professional growth and work to improve your business skills.
- Assist with estimating.
- Answer, screen and transfer phone calls.
- Gather job and billing data from customer.
- Complete job setup for all new jobs in department – Job setup in Sage/Service.
- Certified Payroll setup (working with accounting).
- Answering customer questions regarding schedules and invoicing.
- Assisting with change orders and project reporting
- Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails.
- Fill out any contractual documents needed to facilitate a completed contract.
- Read through contracts searching for keywords – Certified Payroll, schedule dates, due date, invoices, pay apps, waivers, insurance requirements, OCIP, CCIP, retention.
- Complete project close out upon completion of project.

Expected working hours and conditions are as follows:
Monday – Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm

Salary Range: $26.00-$30.00 per hour Depending on Experience
Paid Time Off: 80 hours Annual Accrual.
