Our rapidly growing company is seeking HVAC Service Technicians responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial HVAC and Building Automation Systems (BAS) in a professional, efficient, and customer-oriented manner. The Technician plays a critical role in maintaining client satisfaction, ensuring system reliability, and supporting company profitability through accurate documentation and communication in ServiceTitan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, RTUs, boilers, pumps, VFDs, and BAS components.
- Maintain accurate and detailed job records through ServiceTitan, including photos, notes, materials used, and time entries.
- Communicate effectively with customers, Service Coordinator, and Service Supervisor regarding job status, required materials, and follow-up needs.
- Follow company safety policies, OSHA standards, and proper lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and inventory in a professional and organized manner.
- Provide recommendations for system improvements and preventive measures to customers.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain clear and respectful communication with dispatch and supervisors throughout the day.
- Participate in ongoing technical training and safety meetings as scheduled.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; additional technical training or certification in HVAC systems is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in commercial HVAC service and repair.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, understanding of electrical circuits, and ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients.
- EPA Universal Certification preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, reference check, and background check.
Working Environment
Work is performed in primarily commercial, industrial, institutional buildings, or other construction areas including outdoors environments with constant exposure to noise, dust, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, metal shavings, moving objects, sharp edges, and temperature extremes.
Physical Demands
- Frequent and repeated hand and arm movement to manipulate tools and related objects
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds individually, and team lifting heavier items.
- Frequent working at heights and working on ladders.
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Frequent climbing of steps, ladders, and in/out/onto vehicles.
- Regularly bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, reaching, and crouching.
- Visual acuity to drive motor vehicles.
- Hearing capacity to receive, perceive, and reach to common driving and working environment noises
