Residential Solar Sales Manager
Albany, NY (Field-Based with Office Presence)
Pay: $130,000–$180,000+ (Base + Commission + Bonus)
About the Role
AEC Solar is hiring a Residential Solar Sales Manager to lead and develop a high-performing sales team in the Albany market.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on coaching, performance management, recruiting, and driving revenue growth in residential solar sales.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of solar sales representatives
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions and ride-alongs
- Monitor pipeline activity, sales metrics, and performance through CRM tools
- Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable to results
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new sales representatives
- Support team development, training, and ramp-up
- Collaborate with marketing and operations to improve conversion and customer experience
- Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership
What We’re Looking For
- Experience managing a B2C sales team (solar, home improvement, or similar preferred)
- Proven ability to coach and develop salespeople
- Strong understanding of pipeline management and sales metrics
- Experience with CRM systems and reporting tools
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a field-based leadership role
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
