Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Shapes and lead execution of category sourcing strategies and supports implementation of resulting programs
- Maintains relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors
- Conducts supplier audits and evaluates spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries
- Manage quarterly inventory reporting
- Develops new strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs
- Communicates with senior leadership and other department heads regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production, including attending weekly production leadership meetings
- Conducts cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement
- Develops risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages
- Supports and ensures clear and open internal communication with procurement team and delegats tasks across departments when necessary
- Performs metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements
- Presentations/Reviews to Leadership, as needed
- Perform general and targeted spending analysis and make recommendations.
- Further develops and manages SOPs with focus on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Monitor forecasts to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities
- Other duties, as assigned
Management/Leadership Responsibilities
- Attend weekly leadership meetings, identify and commit to goals and metrics, and ensure completion or delegation of work
- Identify and resolve issues by engaging with leadership team and others
- Support company vision and address questions or concerns
- Ensure clarity and adherence to SOPs and core processes
- Provide clear direction and enforce company policies
- Collaborate with other departments for necessary resources and training
- Conduct quarterly meetings with reports to assess their fit and growth
- Establish clear expectations, roles, responsibilities, and metrics and delegate effectively
- Communicate clearly and consistently with your team, ensure information from leadership and other teams is properly disseminated
- Reward and recognize team members, provide timely feedback
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Significant procurement experience
- Experience with PO negotiations and execution and management of contracts
- Experience in managing vendor performance
- Experience in managing MRO / trade service parts categories and indirect spend categories is a plus
- Advanced capability in building strategic negotiation strategies is a plus
- Experience working cross-functionally with all areas of the business
- Experience with formal sourcing process and supplier relationship management
- Knowledge of contract development and execution
- Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects concurrently, ability to work with minimal supervision, strong project management skills
- Capable of translating business priorities into processes and initiatives that drive value and meet the business’ needs
- Experience working cross functionally with all areas of a business
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in procurement / sourcing or supply chain management or equivalent role
- Professional certification(s) in lean competencies or procurement a plus
- Self-starter with a creative mind who takes initiative and ownership with a proven track record of putting ideas into practice and assessing results while maintaining strong business partnerships in a dynamic and fast paced environment

- Basic CAD a plus
- Microsoft Office Suite preferred
- Experience directing safe work practices in a manufacturing environment
- High attention to detail with the ability to complete assignments accurately, to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines, and to work independently and within a team setting
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Positive team player with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to motivate the team to accomplish goals positively
- Strong belief in customer service and satisfaction
