Morgan Corp. is currently searching for a Rigger.

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Rigger to join our Geostructural team. This role is responsible for preparing, attaching, and guiding loads for lifting and moving using cranes, hoists, and other heavy equipment. The ideal candidate plays a critical role in ensuring all rigging operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, select, and assemble rigging equipment (slings, chains, hooks, shackles, etc.) based on load requirements
  • Safely attach loads to cranes and lifting equipment using proper rigging techniques
  • Signal crane operators using standard hand signals or radio communication
  • Ensure load stability and balance before and during lifts
  • Calculate load weights and determine appropriate rigging configurations
  • Perform pre-use inspections of rigging equipment and report defects or safety concerns
  • Assist with positioning, aligning, and securing materials at job sites
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards
  • Collaborate with crane operators, supervisors, and crew members to execute lifts safely

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a rigger in construction or industrial environments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of rigging practices, load charts, and lifting procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or lift plans
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and rigging regulations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments and at heights

Certifications:

  • NCCCO Rigger Certification (Level I or II)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (Preferred)
  • Signal Person Certification (preferred)

Work Environment:

Primarily field-based work at construction and industrial job sites. Frequent exposure to heavy equipment, elevated work areas, and outdoor conditions. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials. Work will involve frequent standing, walking, and hand use. Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching. This position will require travel to various job sites. Candidates must be committed to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all company and regulatory safety standards.
