Position: Residential Journeyman Plumber

Position Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Pay: $26-$50 hourly ($55,000-$100,000 annually with opportunities for weekly bonus).

Position Summary
The Residential Journeyman Plumber is responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing service, repair, and installation work in residential settings while upholding company standards for professionalism, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of plumbing issues, and the confidence to communicate solutions clearly to homeowners. The Journeyman Plumber plays an essential role in building customer trust, ensuring code-compliant work, and contributing to the overall success and reputation of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drain and sewer systems, fixtures, water heaters, and gas piping.
• Perform installations of plumbing systems and equipment in compliance with local codes, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards.
• Assess customer needs on-site, present repair or replacement options, and provide accurate, detailed estimates.
• Educate customers on system condition, recommended solutions, preventative maintenance, and upgrade opportunities.
• Utilize ServiceTitan to manage job details, including creating estimates, documenting work performed, capturing photos, and processing invoices and payments.
• Maintain thorough and accurate job documentation from initial assessment through job completion.
• Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and protected, maintaining respect for the customer’s home and commercial buildings.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and team members to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance technical and customer service skills.

Required Qualifications

• Active Journeyman Plumbing license.
• Proven experience in residential and light commercial plumbing service, repair, and installation.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Ability to diagnose issues accurately and develop effective, long-term solutions.
• Experience working with water, sewer, and gas piping systems.
• Proficiency using field service software, preferably ServiceTitan.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build trust and present solutions clearly.
• Capability to lead jobs and provide guidance or mentorship to apprentices or junior technicians.
• Commitment to safety standards and proper use of tools and equipment.

Working Conditions

• Work may be performed in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments
• Exposure to varying weather conditions throughout the year
• Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, bending, and extended periods of standing
