Position Summary
The Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that schedules are kept, change orders are written, and requests for information are documented, and that mechanical equipment is tracked and procured in support of project operations. This role also supports construction planning and scheduling and serves as a key point of contact for logistics coordination with OPI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works directly under the Site Project Manager and is responsible for helping ensure the project is successful.
- Track, order, and manage mechanical equipment required for project, ensuring timely procurement and delivery to support the construction schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of mechanical equipment inventory, order status, and equipment deployment across project phases.
- Work closely with OPI to coordinate logistics, communicate project status, and ensure alignment on scheduling and equipment needs.
- Requisition the material needed to support the schedule of installation.
- Review schedule to track progress.
- The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience with industrial millwright work. Should be familiar with AISC and building code requirements. Must have excellent oral/written communication skills. Must be mathematically and computer literate. Must be able to read mechanical drawings and understand Bill of Materials. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Physical Demands
Overtime is required as needed. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on occasion. All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
