Job Title: Journeyman Plumber
Classification: Non – Exempt (Eligible for Overtime) 
Employment Status: Full Time 
Work Schedule: Standard business hours (40 hours a week).
Hours: 7am to 3:30pm. Monday through Friday.

Role Summary and Strategic Impact
F.G. Haggerty Company licensed Journeyman Plumbers to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial settings. The Journeyman Plumber will work independently and supervise apprentices as needed while ensuring all work meets state and local plumbing codes.


I. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, and gas piping.
  • Diagnose plumbing issues and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Install and service fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, garbage disposals, and faucets.• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plumbing schematics.
  • Perform pressure tests and system inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local plumbing codes and safety regulations.
  • Provide guidance and training to apprentice plumbers.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members


Required Qualifications and Competencies

  • License: Valid Journeyman Plumber License (Texas or Oklahoma)
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience, commercial experience a plus
  • Key Traits: Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and safety procedures. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. Ability to work at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces. Comfortable working in various weather conditions. Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and climbing

 


Compensation and Benefits (Wichita Falls, TX)

  • Base Salary Range: $72,800.00
  • Relocation: Not Applicable
