Hours: 7am to 3:30pm. Monday through Friday.

Role Summary and Strategic Impact
F.G. Haggerty Company Apprentice Plumbers assist licensed plumbers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in commercial settings. This entry-level role is designed for individuals who want to develop plumbing skills through hands-on training and supervised field experience while working toward licensure in the state of Texas or Oklahoma.


I. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed plumbers with installing and repairing water, drainage, and gas piping systems.
  • Support work on fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and faucets.
  • Carry tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.
  • Learn to read basic blueprints, work orders, and plumbing diagrams.
  • Help with trenching, pipe cutting, fitting, and assembly under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Follow Texas and Oklahoma plumbing codes and company procedures.
  • Participate in apprenticeship training and required classroom instruction.



Required Qualifications and Competencies

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Key Traits: Interest in learning the plumbing trade and pursuing a plumbing license in Texas or Oklahoma. Ability to work outdoors and in physically demanding environments. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to take direction. Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus. 
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. Ability to work at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces. Comfortable working in various weather conditions. Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and climbing.


Compensation and Benefits (Wichita Falls, TX)

  • Base Salary Range: $32,760.00 to 65,520.00 DOE
  • Relocation: Not Applicable
