Recruiter

Position Summary

The Recruiter is responsible for proactively sourcing, identifying, screening, and helping secure high-quality talent for critical positions within the company. This role focuses heavily on building relationships, developing talent pipelines, and partnering with operational leaders to help ensure hiring needs are met with candidates who align with the company’s culture, values, and performance expectations.

This position is not limited to processing applicants through an ATS. The Recruiter is expected to actively seek out talent, engage passive candidates, and help drive hiring decisions through persistence, communication, and strategic recruiting efforts.

The Recruiter will promote the hiring process of all open positions including high-impact positions such as Journeyman Electricians, Estimators, Project Managers, and other key operational roles as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively source qualified candidates through networking, referrals, job boards, social media, industry events, cold outreach, and other recruiting methods
  • Build and maintain long-term candidate pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill positions
  • Conduct initial candidate outreach and screening interviews to evaluate qualifications, experience, communication skills, and cultural alignment
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
  • Partner closely with operational leaders to understand hiring needs, workforce planning, and candidate requirements
  • Assist in influencing and driving timely hiring decisions by maintaining communication and collaboration with department leaders
  • Maintain accurate candidate records, recruiting activity, and hiring documentation within company systems
  • Represent the company professionally during recruiting events, career fairs, and industry networking opportunities
  • Help improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, and hiring workflows
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality regarding candidate and company information
  • Ensure recruiting activities are conducted in compliance with company policy and applicable employment laws

Qualifications

  • Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, sales, business development, or relationship-based professional roles preferred
  • Experience recruiting within construction, skilled trades, or industrial environments preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships with candidates and company leadership
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple recruiting priorities simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Strong judgment and professionalism when handling confidential information

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment with regular interaction with candidates, employees, managers, and external partners. Occasional travel and after-hours communication may be required based on recruiting demands.
