OBJECTIVE:
The Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) is seeking a detail-oriented and relationship-driven AMP Compliance Specialist to support implementation of a USDA Amplifying Markets for Producers (AMP) grant program. This position plays a critical role in ensuring farmer participants meet USDA eligibility and compliance requirements through coordination with farmers, USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) offices, and internal program staff. Responsibilities include securing data-sharing agreements, managing compliance documentation, maintaining accurate records in agricultural data systems, and supporting audit readiness. This is a grant-funded position with anticipated funding through five years. This position reports to the AMP Program Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain knowledge of USDA regulations and compliance requirements related to farmer participation in USDA grant and conservation programs
- Coordinate with farmer participants to obtain required documentation, signatures, and data-sharing agreements
- Collaborate with USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) offices to verify participant eligibility and ensure timely processing of compliance information
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with USDA and FSA staff at county, state, and federal levels
- Enter, manage, and maintain accurate compliance records within agricultural data management systems
- Support internal and external audits by organizing and maintaining required documentation and records
- Prepare reports, summaries, and compliance analytics to support program management and strategic decision-making
- Serve as a primary point of contact for compliance-related questions from USDA staff and program participants
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve compliance workflows and data collection processes

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience in relationship management and working with diverse stakeholders, preferably in the agricultural or environmental sector.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Capable of working in a team environment while working independently to achieve specific project deliverables.
PREFFERED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices, conservation, and environmental stewardship.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, assertiveness, and ability to drive results.
- Strong understanding of Midwest cropping systems and conservation practices.
