Precipart, located in Farmingdale, NY, is seeking a Contract and Compliance Specialist to support compliance with U.S. and international regulations, including ITAR, EAR, FDA, CBP, and applicable ISO standards. This role is responsible for supporting trade compliance initiatives, contract review activities, and document control processes across the organization. The Contract and Compliance Specialist serves as a key resource for governance and program support related to trade compliance and commercial transactions, including HTS classification ownership, regulatory monitoring, supplier compliance, and the development, maintenance, and administration of the company’s compliance and document control systems and libraries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Contract Review & Administration
- Reviews and redlines standard commercial agreements, including NDAs, customer/supplier agreements, RFQs, and POs,
- Coordinates internal reviews during quoting or order entry process to support trade compliance Prepares contract summaries and maintains contract repository and reporting tools
- Ensures applicable FAR/DFARS clauses and customer flow-down requirements are properly incorporated
Document Control & Compliance Library Management
- Supports the development, organization, and ongoing maintenance of Precipart’s centralized document control library, including policies, procedures, templates, and compliance-related documentation
- Coordinates cross-functional input to ensure documents are current, accurate, and aligned with regulatory and operational requirements
- Supports periodic review and update cycles for key compliance and operational documents
Regulatory Compliance
- Supports maintenance of company registrations (DDTC/ITAR, FDA Device Establishment, C-TPAT, SAM.gov)
- Monitors regulatory developments (e.g., tariffs, trade programs, sanctions) and supports implementation under direction of General Counsel
Export Controls & Technical Data
- Supports classification of products and technical data (USML, CCL, FDA) and provide recommendations in alignment with the General Counsel
- Supports proper handling of ITAR, FCI, and CUI-controlled information
Screening & Licensing
- Conducts denied and restricted party screening for customers and suppliers
- Supports licensing activities and exemption determinations
Import Compliance
- Coordinates HTS classification determinations, including maintaining the classification database and supporting rationale
- Monitors tariff changes and supports updates to classification and duty impact
- Partners with Procurement to support supplier compliance and documentation (e.g., country of origin, certifications)
- Supports duty mitigation and tariff recovery strategies from a program and documentation perspective
Supplier Compliance & Due Diligence
- Partners with Supplier Management to establish and maintain supplier compliance requirements
- Supports supplier onboarding and ongoing diligence to support regulatory requirements
Training & Cross-Functional Support
- Supports training initiatives related to trade compliance, export controls, contract processes, and document control
- Assists Legal in developing and maintaining compliance training materials
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION
- 5+ years of experience in trade compliance, legal support, or regulatory environment
- Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, customs regulations, and sanctions compliance
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience supporting contract review and compliance programs
- Familiarity with HTS classification and trade compliance systems
- Experience supporting document control or regulated environments
Pay Range: $85,000 to $110,000 Base Annual Salary. The compensation for this role will be determined through our assessment process, taking into account your qualifications.
