The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is accountable for supporting both strategic and operational human resources initiatives, serving as a trusted partner to leaders with a primary focus on Fabrication operations.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR contact for Fabrication operations
- Partner with leaders to assess workforce needs and support organizational structure and staffing strategies
- Provide guidance on performance management, employee development, and workplace culture
- Support managers with employee relations matters including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation)
- Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and procedures
- Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to support full-cycle recruiting efforts
- Assist with onboarding, orientation, and employee integration
- Participate in performance management processes, development planning, and succession planning
- Identify training needs and support delivery of HR, leadership, and compliance training
- Maintain accurate employee data and ensure HRIS integrity
- Support compensation processes to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity
- Partner with field and project teams to forecast workforce needs and support workforce planning initiatives
- Assist with seasonal workforce planning, layoffs, and return-to-work processes
- Perform other duties as required to support business needs
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience
- At least 2 years in an HRBP or Generalist role
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting construction, fabrication, or similar industries
- Experience in both union and non-union environments
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
