Job Summary: 

 The Business Development Specialist plays a key role in identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and supporting the sales pipeline. This position requires a strong understanding of the construction industry, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to client engagement.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

      None. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed product sales targets.
  • Analyze market data to identify sales potential, key industry segments, and high-growth opportunities.
  • Prospect and engage with potential clients and partners to expand the customer base.
  • Provide technical guidance and demonstrate a thorough understanding of company products to align with client needs.
  • Prepare and implement market strategies in line with Barts Electric’s strategic plan and forecasting models.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the company and the client.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address client inquiries, resolve issues, and provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage high levels of sales activities, including client meetings, networking events, and CRM updates.
  • Consistently achieve activity goals.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives. 

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field or at least 5 years of related experience required.
