We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for industrial and commercial projects, with a particular focus on piping and equipment insulation, as well as data center projects. This role works closely with project managers, operations, procurement, and clients to develop competitive and profitable bids while maintaining company standards for safety, quality, and execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for piping systems, materials, labor, equipment, insulation, and related components.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for industrial and commercial piping and insulation projects.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor quotations.
- Prepare bid summaries, pricing sheets, and proposal packages.
- Analyze labor productivity, project schedules, and material requirements.
- Coordinate with operations and project management teams during bid development.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client meetings as required.
- Maintain estimating databases, historical costs, and pricing information.
- Identify project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities.
- Support project handoff meetings upon award of work.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of estimating experience in industrial or commercial construction.
- Experience with piping, equipment insulation, mechanical systems, or related construction scopes preferred.
- Strong understanding of piping systems, fabrication, installation methods, insulation, and construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, blueprints, specifications, and bid documents.
- Proficient in Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
- Knowledge of insulation and firestop construction is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and estimating software.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, bid documents, and construction schedules.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop accurate and competitive estimates.
- Knowledge of industrial and commercial construction practices, with experience in piping, insulation, or mechanical systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
- Ability to identify project risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Capable of handling pressure and meeting tight deadlines while maintaining quality and professionalism.
Required Travel
Up to 20% travel for jobsite visits.

Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions
This position is primarily office-based, and most work is performed in an office environment. Occasionally, this position may require site visits to active construction sites. On a construction site, the employee may be required to climb ladders and walk in areas under construction.
While on construction sites, the employee must wear proper protective equipment such as a hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, high-visibility vest, and other required PPE. The employee must be familiar with all company safety equipment and is required to follow company safety procedures before entering the construction site
