Job Description: Enhancement Crew Lead

Position Summary

The Enhancement Crew Lead is responsible for supervising and guiding a team of enhancement technicians in landscape and grounds improvement projects. This crucial role ensures the completion of enhancement tasks according to client specifications, safety standards, and company quality expectations. The Enhancement Crew Lead reports to the Enhancement Manager and plays a key part in promoting a productive and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, motivate, and train a team engaged in landscape enhancement activities such as planting, mulching, hardscaping, pruning, seasonal color installation, and irrigation adjustments.
  • Coordinate daily work schedules, delegate specific tasks, and monitor crew progress and safety on-site.
  • Ensure project sites are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with scope, deadlines, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with clients and management to clarify project expectations and resolve issues as needed.
  • Operate and maintain landscape equipment safely and ensure crew compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
  • Monitor inventory of materials and request supplies as necessary to meet project demands.
  • Document work completed and report project status and crew performance to management regularly.
  • Support a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement among all crew members.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in landscape maintenance, construction, or enhancement projects.
  • Proven leadership or crew supervisory experience in a related industry.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate trucks and trailers as needed.
  • Knowledge of horticultural practices, plant identification, landscape equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 10, Landscape Industry Certified Technician, CPR/First Aid).
  • Bilingual abilities.
  • Experience with landscape project planning and client relations.
  • Prior usage of project management or scheduling tools.
