Pay Range: $30–$60 per hour (DOE), FLSA non-exempt (overtime eligible).

Here’s a deeper dive into your responsibilities:

VDC Schedule Tracking & Issue Management

  • Track and communicate internal IFC dates and customer IFF dates after each VDC kickoff.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, internal P6 scheduler, and BIM leads.
  • Ensure P6 schedule is updated weekly and hold BIM leads accountable for updates.
  • Confirm dates remain aligned with the site team’s current plan.
  • Track post-kickoff issues including BIM playbook updates, RFIs, trade clashes, and other blockers.
  • Assign ownership, track issues through closure, and maintain visibility in existing systems (P6, BIM Tracker, VDC Checklists).

Third-Party Engineer Coordination

  • Manage third-party engineers and hold them accountable for delivering support details required for IFC and IFF dates.
  • Stay ahead of support detail requirements to prevent delays to fabrication release.
  • Escalate to Project Managers when engineering support impacts timelines.

Pre-IFC Material True-Up

  • Perform pre-IFC material true-up to confirm readiness prior to fabrication release.
  • Request bill of materials from BIM team and coordinate with Supply Chain.
  • Identify shortages, confirm lead times, and ensure required materials are ordered.
  • Confirm adherence to BIM playbooks and escalate material exceptions as needed.

Pre-IFC Review & Fabrication Kickoff

  • Lead pre-IFC review and kickoff meetings with OSM and project teams.
  • Confirm material status, work packages, priorities, and fabrication requirements.
  • Validate QA/QC requirements, labor phase codes, and packaging needs.
  • Communicate release conditions, including any “release at risk” determinations with PM approval.

On-Hold Tracking & Release Coordination

  • Track on-hold status for VDC packages or components after release for fabrication.
  • Identify ownership, assign due dates, and maintain visibility until cleared.
  • Ensure all on-hold tracking is maintained within established systems.

Site Coordination

  • Perform monthly site visits to align with project teams and field conditions.
  • Conduct field walks, review installed scope and identify coordination or constructability issues.

Reporting & Communication

  • Report directly to site Project Managers and follow escalation paths as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication cadence for schedule updates and issue tracking.
  • Provide weekly updates on IFC/IFF dates and frequent follow-up on open issues.

Process Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage the VDC support process to ensure BIM teams meet IFC and IFF dates.
  • Communicate clearly with BIM, OSM, Supply Chain, and project teams before fabrication release.
  • Support shop efficiency by ensuring clear expectations and readiness prior to release.

 

What You Bring
  • Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience supporting construction projects, BIM/VDC coordination, or project engineering. Familiarity with fabrication workflows, scheduling, and coordination processes. Experience working with cross-functional project teams
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Proficiency with scheduling tools (P6 preferred) and construction/VDC systems.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
