Job Overview

We are recruiting Journeyperson Welders to join our team for projects in Northern Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, repairing, and welding structural steel and other metal components in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced working in industrial and construction environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding, fabrication, and repair of structural steel and other metal components using a variety of welding processes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, welding symbols, and project specifications
  • Fit, align, and assemble metal components prior to welding
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirements
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Perform minor cutting, grinding, and finishing work as required
  • Collaborate with supervisors, welders, fitters, and other trades to complete work safely and on schedule
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and applicable safety regulations
  • Complete other welding-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid Journeyperson Welder Certification
  • Experience welding in industrial construction, structural steel, or heavy civil environments
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and technical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and fabrication techniques
  • Experience operating welding, cutting, and grinding equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically capable of lifting, bending, climbing, and working in various weather conditions
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, including cannabis
