Position Summary
The Pipefitter is responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, and maintaining piping systems used in industrial facilities such as manufacturing plants, refineries, chemical plants, and power plants. This role requires interpreting technical drawings, working with various piping materials, and ensuring all systems are installed according to specifications, codes, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and mtems for industrial paintain piping sysrocesses (e.g., steam, gas, water, chemicals)
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and specifications
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipe to required dimensions
- Fit and align piping, valves, fittings, and related components
- Perform tack welding or assist welders during pipe installation
- Install supports, hangers, and brackets for piping systems
- Conduct pressure testing and system checks to ensure integrity and performance
- Repair or replace damaged piping and components in the field
- Follow all OSHA regulations and site-specific safety procedures
- Coordinate work with welders, millwrights, electricians, and other trades
- Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial pipefitting or related construction work
- Experience working in industrial facilities such as refineries, plants, or processing sites
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and pipe layouts
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation methods
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Willingness to travel for projects

- Ability to lift 50–75 pounds regularly
- Frequent standing, bending, crouching, and climbing
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Comfortable working in physically demanding industrial environments
